I decided to re-visit my breakfast routine. For months and months it’s been 3-4 eggs, scrambled with some homemade blistered beans and salsa. However, after reading a few blogs about starting the morning off with protein and fat to get the body fat burning, I decided it was time to make an alteration.
I switched to the following:
- 1 Egg Scrambled with 3 Egg Whites w/ Jalepenos and Arugala (fresh from the garden).
- Cottage Cheese w/ Pepper and Tabasco Sauce
- 1 Cup of Coffee
- 2 Cups of Water
- TOTAL CALORIES 288.
This cuts my average Breakfast Calorie in-take down almost in half. So, I’m hoping this helps me with my daily margins. My calorie goal is around 2K a day, but I’m hoping to shave off 200 calories from that to get to a reasonable in-take for weight loss. End of the day folks, it’s simply calories in and calories out.
I took my ‘inspiration’ from the same source that I first heard about Slow Carb from, The Nerdist Podcast. One of the hosts eats something similar with some Turkey Sausage and he’s lost close to a hundred pounds. When in doubt, find a successful individual and do what they do. That’s the best hack.
After three days of doing this, I’m having a hard time controlling my hunger by Lunch. The previous breakfast really sustained me through the morning, but this one leaves me terribly hungry by around noon. Hunger is always as a sign you’re burning calories, and potentially the jiggle wiggle, so here’s to hoping results on Saturday after a weeek off of measurements pays off.
