Today is the first day back after Cheat Day. I’m just focusing on the habits and feelings around eating for this re-start. I had a ‘perfect’ slow carb or paleo breakfast for that matter. Scrambled Eggs with Organic Butter, Arugula Salad with a light organic oil and vinegar dressing, bacon and a little Slow Carb Pesto on the eggs. A warm cup of local roasted coffee with heavy cream, and I’m done. Kids feasted on Bacon with me, and keep asking for more. These kids LOVE bacon. And I can’t argue with them. What I’m working on this week is HABITS around stressful eating.
I have not been working out. I repeat I have not been working out. So, much for those New Years Resolutions, huh? March was a complete disaster of a month. Bad Eating, Falling off the Slow Carb wagon (again) you name it. So, I decided this week, well screw it.. start over, again. Make it stick, again. The drill has been run before. So, I waddled my tubby butt out to the driveway last night at 9pm to make good on a promise to myself.
I decided to avoid a crucial mistake. I routinely start up a work out and blow up my legs, and fight soreness for days, thereby minimizing my desire on day 2 to work out again. So, I decided to focus on my upper body instead. This is a ‘welcome back’ workout. Not a killer, but difficult none the less.
