I have not posted results as much as I wanted to. That is because I have had little chance to weigh and measure. Not a great excuse, but this week I was bound and determined to change a few things and therefore I wanted to report progress. I had gained 4 lbs on DDP Yoga, which was discouraging. But I examined a few things to change, and here are my results:
- Weight 306.2 (down 2.7 pounds)
- Chest 49.5 inches (down .5 inches)
- Waist 52 inches (down 1.5 inches)
- Hips 47 inches (up 1 inch)
- Thighs 27 inches (down .5 inches)
- Biceps 17.5 inches (down .5 inches)
- Neck 17 inches (no change)
- Calves 17.5 inches (down .5 inches)
- Body Fat Est 31.45%. (down 1.12%)
2.7 pound reduction in one week, 2.5 inches lost across my body, and 1.12% body fat reduction. Pretty damn solid week! So, what did I do differently? First, I followed the Diet (duh) with a tweak. I combined Slow Carb Rules on types of food to eat, with #DDP’s meal planning. I added fruit in where it was recommended (change against Slow Carb) and ate some brown rice. Did I cheat? Yep, a few times, I had sandwiches on the road, or a scrap of toast left by the kids. I am confident I can make changes. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were very solid diet days, and once I hit that Wednesday marker, I felt I was on a roll. It carried for the most part through to this morning.
What else? Portion Control. I didn’t eat a TON of food at each sitting. I kept it small and simple, and just (as the book says) spread out some snacks to offset the hunger (nuts, yogurt, fruit). I also upped my water in-take. I was severely lacking in water consumption, so I upped that a great deal! Basically, I’m eating 5 times a day, and no snacking after 7pm.
I am good where I am at! i think if I keep this up I can knock off a good chunk of weight before he end of the year as I had hoped! Also, still loving the yoga! I’m starting to combo work outs and increase from 3 times a week to 4.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I screwed up my foot stepping on a pool toy. Gotta go see Bob!
